JULY 20: Open from 9:00 to 2:00
JULY 25 through JULY 29: Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 3:00
AR (Accelerated Reader) Summer Testing Schedule:
Testing will be held in the OLPH School Computer Lab from 4:00 to 6:00.
The remaining dates are as follows: July 20, July 27, and August 3 during Registration (7:30 A.M. to noon)

· Home and School message from Gless Gass, President for 2011-2012: I hope the summer vacation is being enjoyed by all. Please note the following announcements:
1. OLPH Home and School will meet Tuesday, July 26, at La Olla Restaurant at 6:00 P.M. La Olla is located at 5773 Brainerd Road. Anyone interested in helping with Home and School this upcoming school year (2011-2012) is invited to attend. All children are welcome. Please RSVP to me at fakermage@gmail.com by Monday, July 25, so I can tell La Olla how many people to expect.
2. We are still looking for a couple of people to cover some of the officer's positions. We need someone to help with grounds, to work as the OLPH lead for our Mardi Gras all city event and the Breakfast with Santa Organizer. If you can help with any of these events please email me at fakermage@gmail.com
3. Summer is coming to an end and we are going to need some help with registration. If you can spare a couple of hours to man the home and school table at registration please drop me a line and I'll be glad for the help. Hope to see you there. Thank you, Glenn Gass
· St. Cecilia's Closet will be open after each Mass the weekend of July 23rd and July 24. Gently used OLPH School uniforms will be for sale. St. Cecilia's Closet is located on the first floor of the main school building. Be sure to check out the Student uniform policy which is available on the school website. Go to www.myolph.com/school and click on "Uniform policy."
· Summer AR Reading Lists and Supply Lists for the 2011-2012 are available on the school website. Go to www.myolph.com/school, and click on the "Summer 2011" link.
· Registration packets will be mailed to each family before the end of July. The information contained in the packet needs to be reviewed and updated by the parents and brought to Registration on Wednesday, August 3.
· VIRTUS training--VIRTUS is a program for the protection of children and youth. The training is mandated by the Diocese of Knoxville for all adults volunteering, chaperoning, or working with children. This includes faculty, staff, substitute teachers, coaches, classroom volunteers and boy/scout leaders. Registration is done online at www.virtus.org . VIRTUS training sessions will be held this spring and summer: St. Jude Church, Thursday, July 28, 6:00 P.M.; St. Stephen Church, Wednesday, August 17, 6:00 P.M.; St. Jude Church, Thursday, September 22, 1:00 P.M.; and St. Jude Church, Thursday, November 1, 6:00 P.M.
SPORTS: Sports physicals
· Sports physicals: We are scheduling OLPH parents/doctors to perform TSSAA sports physicals for the student athletes in grades 4th through 8th who anticipate participating in sports during the 2011-2012 school year. The physicals will be given during Registration Day, scheduled for Wednesday, August 3, from 7:30 to noon in the school gym. The physicals will cost $10 per student athlete, which is donated to the OLPH Booster Club. Physical forms are available in the school office and on our website, www.myolph.com, under "Athletics." The forms do require parent signatures.
