SCHOOL NEWS: St. Cecilia's Closet, Home and School Officers, Applications for 2012-2013
·         St. Cecilia's Closet--A donation bin/basket is in Holy Family Hall for families to drop off gently used OLPH School uniforms. During the summer months, St. Cecilia's Closet is open when the school office is open (see schedule above).
·         Applications for the 2012-2013 School Year--OLPH School is accepting applications for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year for students in grades PreK (4 year old) through 8th. OLPH School has been educating students since 1937. We believe in educating minds, enlightening souls, and strengthening bodies. Summer Camp Information
·         Art Camp--Mrs. Meinert will be conducting Summer Art Camps during the following times:
o   Rising 3rd-5th graders, July 2 - 6, 9:00 A.M. to Noon, $100 per student
o   Rising 6th-8th graders, July 9 - 13, 9:00 A.M. to Noon, $100 per student
o   Please contact Mrs. Meinert if you would like to sign up. Email ahmeinert@aol.com  or 423-227-9229.
·         Volleyball--Join Mrs. Nicole Tinney for volleyball camp during the week of July 23rd. Camp will cover fundamental skills as well as team strategies and sportsmanship. Participants will leave camp with a greater understanding of how the game is played and how each skill impacts the game. All players should bring a water bottle and knee pads. Contact Mrs. Tinney at ntinney@catholicweb.com to register.

STUDENT NEWS: Student Recognitions
·         Student Recognition--Congratulations to Cayci Holt who recently won the Sonia Young Award for Excellence in Youth Theatre for Best Elementary School Actress. Cayci was the lead role in "Stellaluna" at the Chattanooga Youth Theatre this spring, and received her award on June 2nd. Awesome!
·         Student Recognition-- Congratulations to the 5/6 year old East Brainerd Volcanoes for an undefeated baseball season. They fought hard all season long and went 17-0. Way to go, Gabe Flowers, Garrett Roe, Rily Roberts, Ethan Ash, and Caleb McAbee!

SCHOOL NEWS: St. Cecilia's Closet, Home and School Officers, Applications for 2012-2013
·         St. Cecilia's Closet--A uniform sale will be held after all masses the weekend of June 23 and 24. The Creative Arts Guild will have St. Cecilia's Closet open for back to school purchases. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Creative Arts Guild (CAG), a group of parents and teachers who have a special interest in the development of a strong creative arts program at OLPH School.
