SCHOOL NEWS: Ram Run,
Oktoberfest, ChattiGras, Speech and Hearing, Scrip Sunday, and Art Show
Save the date, Saturday, October 19th for the Oktoberfest Ram Run!!! The 5K will begin at
8 A.M., and the 1 mile Family Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8:05 A.M. in
front of the First Tennessee Pavilion.

School will staffing a bratwurst booth
at the Chattanooga Market all
day Saturday and Sunday; so,please find our booth and treat yourself to the
BEST brat at the fest! This is our school's biggest fundraiser, and
we really hope that you will be there!!!
ChattiGras 2014, a Chattanooga-style Mardi Gras celebration sponsored by our
Catholic Schools of Chattanooga, will be held on Saturday, February 15th
at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center. Save the date. If you have an item for the Silent Auction, contact

Speech and Hearing
screenings will be offered on
November 12, 2013, at OLPH during the school day. If you are interested; or, your child's teacher has concerns, please take
advantage of this opportunity. It is
strongly recommended that Pre-K and Kindergarten students be screened, if he or
she has not been screened within the past year. The cost is $20.00. Checks need to be payable to, The Speech and
Hearing Center. Your child's teacher has
the necessary forms.
October 26 and 27 will
be Scrip Sunday. More than 20
different brands of cards will be available for purchase, including Publix,
Target, Walmart and more. Each purchase
benefits OLPH School. If you would like

Student Art Show
at the Chattanooga Market on October 27th. Several 6th-8th grade
OLPH students will have their work on display.
Several Chattanooga schools will be participating so come support OLPH
and view these masterpieces.
SPORTS NEWS: Cross Country and Football
The Cross Country team
has completed their season.
Congratulations to our overall place finishers: Tristan Mroz (3rd grade) 4th
place, Rachel-Anne Scalla (6th grade) 5th place, Hannah
Ingle (7th grade) 3rd place and Will Bordash (8th
grade) 1st place. The Middle
School runners competed in the Middle School Championship race on Saturday,
October 12th. Will Bordash
with a time of 11:24.31 came in 1st place at that race. Brendan Yemm's time of 15:10.94, Hannah
Ingle's time of 15:09.33 and Rachel-Anne Scalla's time of 15:38.07 meant that
all runners qualified for the State meet in Knoxville on October 19th.
The Football team
gathered for Mass last Sunday in thanks for a successful season in which the
team achieved a winning record and suffered no serious injuries. The team wishes to thank the many parent
volunteers and the outstanding cheerleaders.
Special thanks to Mike Eberle who has "adopted" the football
field. The grass and condition of the
field never looked so good. The players
are to return all uniforms (washed), equipment bags and equipment to the
multi-purpose room. In other football
news, the U10 Rams continue to roll in the Scenic City league and are now
7-0. The Playoffs begin October 26th. The 3rd and 4th grade
Rams completed an undefeated season 11-0 and are set to play in the Middle
Valley Super Bowl on November 9th.
