Sale--The 8th grade will be putting on a yard sale to raise
money for their Washington, D.C. trip in the spring. The yard sale will be held
Saturday, November 3, in the church parking lot beginning at 8 A.M. All

Sunday--Starting your Christmas
shopping? Sunday, November 4, and every first Sunday of the month will be
"Scrip Sunday." Scrip
cards will be available for purchase after all weekend Masses in Holy Family
Hall. Shopping with Scrip supports OLPH School without any fundraising….it
doesn't get any better than that! All you have to do is purchase your favorite
retailers' Scrip cards at face value and use them in place of cash, checks, or
credit cards, for purchases you were going to make any way. The retailers send
us a cash discount and we split the profits with you 50/50. Purchase Scrip gift
cards for ALL your shopping needs-
gas, groceries, gifts, dining out, home improvements, etc.--come by our table
after Mass to shop from inventory. If you want to get started placing orders

Landscaping
Work Day--In order to prepare for a more beautiful campus in the spring, we
will be having a Landscaping Work Day on Saturday, November 10th
from 8:00 A.M. to Noon. If you can help or have questions, please reply to

St. Cecilia's Closet--Visit St. Cecilia's
Closet for gently used uniform long pants and long sleeve shirts, sweaters and
jackets. Uniform and out-of-uniform shorts and skorts are not to be worn again
until April 1, 2013.

Mark your
calendar--Our next Home and School
Meeting is Wednesday, November 14.
We will be having a chili cook-off prior to the business meeting. The chili supper
will begin at 5:30; the meeting at 6:00. Anyone interested in participating
please contact Barbara Haimelin at Dbhaimelin@comcast.net
. The prize for the best chili is a
$50.00 Scrip card of your choice! The cook-off and meeting will be held in
the Parish Life Center. Pizza will be provided for the children in the school
cafeteria.

Thanksgiving
Food Drive--OLPH School and Parish is helping Catholic Charities with their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. We
are collecting for 250 families this year; please send in 5 to 10 cans/boxes of
your food item. If you do not have time to shop, cash donations are gladly
accepted, and we will do the shopping.
Boxes for the food will be in the main hallway of the school, and Holy
Family Hall. Please bring the food items
by Friday, November 16th.
The food baskets will be assembled on Sunday, November 18th, at 2:00
P.M. in the OLPH Parish Life Center (PLC). If your family would like to
help assemble the food baskets please contact Cissy West at cwest@catholicweb.com or 423-622-1481. Thank
you for helping us help others.

Gras--SAVE THE DATE FOR CHATTI
GRAS--This city-wide event brought our Catholic Community together for one
fun-filled celebration last year, and it is back to stay! Mark your calendars
now for Saturday, February 9,
2013, at the Chattanooga
Trade and Convention Center. OLPH, Notre Dame, and St. Jude will be hosting
this Mardi Gras-style evening for adults to enjoy dinner, music and dancing,
and a silent auction. Tickets are now on sale at www.Chattigras.com or in the Development
Office (see Cissy West). The price is $60 per ticket through December 31. After
December 31, the price goes up to $75 per ticket. Last year's event sold out, so be sure to get your tickets early!!
