Virtue for the Month of August: "Fruits of the Holy Spirit" "We live our virtues in the "Fruits of the Holy Spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23).  In the Bible we read about fruits of the Holy Spirit which God wants to grow in our lives.  These fruits are self-control, faithfulness, kindness, joy, peace love, be good, or be self-controlled when things are not going our way: or, we are tired: or someone is giving us a hard time.  The fruits of the Holy Spirit, are outward signs, that the Holy Spirit lives inside us.  Mary, the Mother of Jesus lived by the fruits of the Holy Spirit and allowed the Spirit to direct her life.

SCHOOL NEWS: Welcome Back BBQ, After School Art, and Grand Ram Tricycle Race

·         Welcome Back BBQ for all OLPH students, families and staff is on Friday, August 15^th at 5:30 P.M.  Home and School will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, bottled water and lemonade.  They are asking families with the last name beginning with A - L, bring a dessert and families with the last name beginning with M - Z,  bring a side item.  Eat, meet and mingle with old friends and new.

·         After School Art information and class schedules are available in the school office, inside the art room, and posted outside the art room.  The classes will begin the week of the 18^th, so there is plenty of time to sign up.  If you have any questions, you may contact Raquel Crumley at rcrumley@catholicweb.com.

·         Save the date!  Mark your calendars for what promises to be a fun-filled Saturday for our OLPH families.  On Saturday morning, September 27^th, OLPH Home and School will be hosting our first Grand Ram Tricycle Race.  If you are interested in helping out please contact Kari Hudson at kariklemm@aol.com or 423-598-1969.
