Virtue for the Month of October:

Patrol, Trunk or Treat, Living Rosary, Choo Choo Fest, Chattigras, 8th
Grade fundraiser and Art Exhibition

Safety Patrol is a
parent led volunteer opportunity.
Our goal is to keep our kids safe during the peak times of morning drop off.
This is a great way to earn those PIP hours and it only takes about 30 minutes
a day (including dropping off your student in the cafeteria and picking up and
returning safety equipment). Working a full week will earn you 3 PIP
hours! We're using VolunteerSpot to organize parent volunteers for our
morning parking lot Safety Patrol. Check the week after fall break for

Join us in honoring Our Lady by
participating in the Living Rosary on October 17th at 11:00
A.M. During the assembly in the gym,
students will stand in the shape of the rosary as each one leads one of the
prayers.

Thanks to everyone who came out
to enjoy the Choo Choo Fall Fest!
Everyone enjoyed the adult and student tricycle races, carnival games,
face painting, inflatables and food followed by cheering on the Rams in their
game against Sale Creek. Thank you to
all the hard-working volunteers who made the day such a huge success!

next 8 weeks. Thank you for your school

The Creative Discovery Museum is
having an Art Exhibition during the month of October. Our 7th graders and most of the
Pre-K will have artwork up for the exhibit.
Students participating will receive a free pass to go see their artwork.
Ms. Crumley would like to congratulate the students on their hard work. If you are at the museum during the month of
October, please check out the art gallery.
Sports News:
Congratulations
to the OLPH Cross Country Team. Overall grade level awards are as follows: 3rd
grade boys - First Place, Ethan Ash, Second Place, Riley Roberts: 4th grade boys - Fourth Place,
Tristan Mroz: 6th grade girls - Second Place, Kassidy Barta, Fourth
Place, Alex Soutuyo and Fifth Place, Morgan Hicks: 7th grade girls -
Third Place, Rachel Anne Scalla: 8th grade girls - First Place,
Hannah Ingle: 8th grade boys - 5th place, Brendan Yemm.
The Catholic middle school team defeated
Sale Creek 49-30 to claim the title of Choo
Choo Bowl Champions! The Choo
Choo Fall Fest featuring the Choo Choo Bowl game was a great day for the school
and team. The Rams enjoyed the
"Grand Walk" where a large crowd of cheerleaders, students and
parents formed a cheering funnel for the team to run through on the way to the
game. Curtis Dearing and Michael Howard
scored for the Rams. Curtis also led the
team in tackles. Catholic then defeated
Grace 34-21 last night to finish the season with an impressive 8-2 record. Matthew Leutz and Dallas Brown were
standouts. Catholic football is a
cooperative program made up of students from OLPH and St. Jude. The team enjoyed great success this season on
and off the field, scoring victories over many solid teams. The Catholic 6th grade team still
has several games left, including a game tomorrow against undefeated East
Ridge. It is a home game and kick off is
at 1:30 P.M. Overall, the Catholic
football program is 15-3. It has been a
great season, with great fan support and the best cheerleaders in Chattanooga.
