Virtue for the Month of May: Patience; Christian patience means more than the ability to wait.  Our waiting comes with faith and hope in the Lord.  Just as God patiently forgives our wrong doings, we can show that patience and forgiveness to others.

SCHOOL NEWS: Summer Camps, Yearbook Orders, Talent Show, Homework Help, Home and School Officers, YMCA Lockdown, and Nickels for Nepal

·        OLPH Summer Camp fliers are available on the school website. Check out what exciting possibilities are available for your students this summer!

·       It is time to order your yearbook. Yearbooks can only be ordered online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.  Information will be going home with students this week.  The cost of the yearbook is $30.00 and the last day to order is May 29^th.  You will now be able to customize your yearbook when ordering online.  All orders are done on-line through Lifetouch. Do not forget to order!!

·       The OLPH Talent Show is coming back on May 12, 2015. If you sing, dance, act or play an instrument, and want to share your talent with others, come and join us in the music room on Wednesday, May 6th right after school for try outs. (Please keep your act to no more than 2 minutes so that as many students as possible can participate.)

·       HOMEWORK HELP SCHEDULE FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKS

Week of April 27th - May 1st: Homework Help will resume its regular schedule (Mon, Tues, Thurs)

Week of May 4th - 8th: Homework Help will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday only

Week of May 11th - 15th: Homework Help will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday only

·        Congratulations!  2015-2016 OLPH Home and School Officers:  President - Maureen Streko, Vice President - Jennifer Flowers, Secretary - Dawn Singleton, Treasurer - Stacey Malecky.

·        Total Lockdown at the YMCA - Saturday, May 16^th, at the YMCA at Hamilton Place from 9:00 P.M. - 6:00 A.M. for 6^th through 8^th graders.  Forms will be sent home with students and will be available in the school office.

·        As many of you know, last year when we were in third grade a devastating tragedy happened in the Philippines.  As third graders, we put together "Pennies for the Philippines," as our Service Religion Project.  This year fourth grade is taking the lead to continue our Service Religion Project with "Nickels for Nepal".  On April 24^th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal, killing over 5,000 people and left over 500,000 people homeless.  Each classroom will be given a mason jar to collect your donations.  We are thankful any donations that you would like to give.  We have set a goal of $1000.  Let's pull together to help Nepal!  They will know we are Christians by our love.

Sports News:  Catholic Football

Attention all 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th grade boys  interested in playing football next season - -  we will meet this Sunday (May 3^rd), 6pm, at the Football field to discuss the upcoming season, and to distribute equipment to the middle school players.  Please wear cleats/tennis shoes.  Catholic Football is planning on having three teams next season - - U10, U12/JV, and Middle School.  Please join us Sunday to learn more.  Go Rams!
