Please try our SCRIP program. We have had about 15-20 families who participate on a continuous basis. So far we have raised over $4000 for the year. If half of our families would purchase SCRIP – just 112 families- we could potentially make more than 10X that amount, close to $40,000! WOW!

Send in SCRIP orders anytime. Forms are available in the school office or online @ www.shopwithscrip.com; Use our School Enrollment Code BBEA23BF17413. Thank you for your participation, and look for more to come about “TRIP” (Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program) for next year.

Our next Home and School Meeting is on March 25th. Pizza will be served at 6:00; the meeting will begin at 6:30. There will be performances by the OLPH School band and the Kindergarten class. Please plan to attend. Childcare will be available in the cafeteria.

All positions for the Home and School Committee are open for next year. If you are interested in improving our school, serving our teachers and students, and working with a dynamic group of parents, contact Beth Tapley at 423-290-0766 or homeandschool@catholicweb.com.

How many PIP hours do you have? The PIP program is designed to involve parents in school-related activities and events. Each family is required to donate the minimum of 8 hours. There is still time and many opportunities to meet your requirement. Check with the Development Office or Home and School.

BISHOP ORDINATION--Bishop-elect Stika's installation as third bishop of the Diocese of Knoxville is scheduled for Thursday,March 19, 2009 at 2:30 PM, at the Knoxville Convention Center. Our new Bishop-elect is very hopeful that our Catholic schools will be represented on this day. Therefore, we are planning to take the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students plus faculty who wish to attend. Home and School has graciously offered to pay for the buses; the only expense to the students will be food. The students will be required to bring a sack lunch to eat in the classrooms before we depart and money for a fast food meal on the return home. We have reserved two buses, and they will arrive at 11:00; we plan on departing by 11:15. The celebration will be three hours in length; so, we estimate that we will be back at school between 8:30 and 9:00 PM.

Parents, if you have changed your address, work, home or cell phone number, please contact the school office at 622-1481 or olphschooloffice@catholicweb.com so we may update our records.
