·        OLPH Summer Camp fliers are available on the school website. Check out what exciting possibilities are available for your students this summer! Spaces still available.
·       It is time to order your yearbook. Deadline for ordering is May 29th.  Get those orders in before time runs out.  Yearbooks can only be ordered online at ybpay.lifetouch.com. You will now be able to customize your yearbook when ordering online. 
·        OLPH School Advisory Board is now accepting applications for 2015 - 2016 Board openings.  School Advisory Board meets on a monthly basis (typically a Wednesday night at 6:00 P.M.) and serves as an advisory board to the Pastor and Principal of OLPH School.  The Advisory Board is an ideal way for parents to become more involved in the school and fulfills PIP hour requirements.  Membership is open to parents of OLPH students, alumni of OLPH School, parents of alumni, and members of OLPH parish.  Please prayerfully consider serving in this very important school ministry.  The deadline has been extended to turn in your application until Tuesday, May 26th.  Applications are available in the school office.
·        Please make sure your PIP hours are up-to date in RenWeb, statements will be going out next week for those who have not met their required hours.
·        Don’t forget to sign up for Summer Catholic Youth Camp and God Camps. ·        FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - DATE:  Thursday, May 28 (Note: This is a change from the printed calendar.) Field Day is almost here! Students are getting excited, and we hope that you will volunteer to help us on Thursday, May 28th All volunteers Need to report to Coach Idol on Thursday morning at 8:45 A.M. to get things rolling for Field Day.  In addition to helping with the games, we will need help with the concession stand and lunch cookout. ·        As many of you know, last year when we were in third grade a devastating tragedy happened in the Philippines.  As third graders, we put together "Pennies for the Philippines," as our Service Religion Project.  This year fourth grade is taking the lead to continue our Service Religion Project with "Nickels for Nepal".  On April 24th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal, killing over 5,000 people and left over 500,000 people homeless.  Each classroom will be given a mason jar to collect your donations.  We are thankful any donations that you would like to give.  Please turn in your donations by May 22nd.  We are well on our way to reaching our goal! They will know we are Christians by our love. 
·        The OLPH girl's middle school tennis team won 2nd place in the ISC Middle School Tennis Tournament last week at Champions Club.  The team included; Carly Goetz, Jane Anne Haywood, Lilly Schafluetzel, Anna Qualey, Sophia John, Cara Smith, Holli Covey, and Bethany Bolus.  Way to Go Rams!

·        Congratulations!  2015-2016 OLPH Home and School Officers:  President - Maureen Streko, Vice President - Jennifer Flowers, Secretary - Dawn Singleton, Treasurer - Stacey Malecky.
·        Total Lockdown at the YMCA - Saturday, May 16th, at the YMCA at Hamilton Place from 9:00 P.M. - 6:00 A.M. for 6th through 8th graders.  Forms will be sent home with students and will be available in the school office.

·        Six OLPH fifth graders earned the Arrow of Light award on April 29th.  The Arrow of Light Award is the highest award that can be earned in Cub Scouting.  It is the result of two years of work in the Webelos den with our OLPH pack 3017.  It is the only Cub Scout Badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout Uniform.  These six boys also crossed over to the OLPH Boy Scout Troop 115 on the same night.  Congratulations to; Anthony Britto, Drew Ingle, Logan Qualey, Augustine Britto, Timbo Monahan and Warren Yap.
