Virtue for the Month of November:
"Kindness" Jesus came with a new commandment, "Love one another
as God loves you." This love we
have from God is shown to others through our kindness. As we treat others at home and school kindly,
we obey God's command.
Please use extra caution and drive slowly in the parking lots,
especially at the archway. Let's keep
our kids safe! Thank you, Fr. Jim.

Safety
Patrol is a parent led volunteer opportunity. Our goal is to keep our kids
safe during the peak times of morning drop off. This is a great way to earn
those PIP hours and it only takes about 30 minutes a day (including dropping
off your student in the cafeteria and picking up and returning safety
equipment). Working a full week will earn you 3 PIP hours! We're using VolunteerSpot to organize parent volunteers for our
morning parking lot Safety Patrol. Check the weeks ahead for openings. Please
sign up for OLPH Morning Safety Patrol. SIGN-UP FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK BY CLICKING ON MONDAY OF THAT WEEK. Here's how it works in 3 easy steps: 1. Click
this link to go to our
invitation page on VolunteerSpot: http://vols.pt/4cZ5vU. 2. Enter your email address. 3. Sign up!
·
Virtus training session will be
held Monday, November 10, at 6:00 P.M., in the PLC. If you
plan to chaperone a class trip, volunteer in the classroom, come to a class
party, or help anywhere in the buildings when students are present, the Diocese
of Knoxville requires that you be Virtus trained, and complete a volunteer
packet. To register for the November 10th session, go to https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/reg_list.cfm?theme=0 and
select "Knoxville, TN (Diocese)" and the date of the session. Be sure
to save the username and password that you create. You will need it to return
to the site regularly to read the monthly bulletins that will keep your
training current. You may request a volunteer packet from the office to fill
out in advance of your session, or one will be provided there.
