Mark your calendars for what promises to be another
fun-filled Saturday for our OLPH families on Saturday, September 26th. OLPH Home & School will be hosting
our 2nd Annual
Choo Choo Fall Fest which
will kick off with the Grand Ram Tricycle Race at 9:30am,
continue with a fun festival with games, face painting, dunk tank and
activities to appeal to a wide range of ages and conclude with the Choo Choo
Bowl XXV at 12:30pm. This
is going to be a fun Saturday which you won't
want to miss! If you are interested in more information, please email us

with information on how to register for the tricycle race went home in Friday Folders last week. Cost for tricycle
& big wheel participants ages PreK - Adult is $10 and includes an event
t-shirt. To guarantee shirt size, please register by Sept 11th. Wristbands
for Fall Fest activities are $10 if pre-ordered. Information on how to pre-order these
will be sent out in September.

Calling all 6th, 7th
and 8th grade swimmers! The Catholic Swim Club will be
having a parent information session on September 14, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00
P.M. at Notre Dame High School in the cafeteria. Please join us or contact

3. Come to the Knights of Columbus #610 73rd Annual Labor Day
Picnic on September 7, 2015 at Camp Columbus, 8601 Camp Columbus Road, Hixson,
TN. from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. BBQ Plates $8.00 adult and $5.00 child. See attached flyer.
4. Ladies Bible Study will resume with the Great Adventure Bible Series of Matthew: The King and His Kingdom. Join us as we explore the life and
mission of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel. Learn how the promises and
prophecies of the Old Testament are fulfilled in Christ the awaited Messiah who
relives the life and struggles of Israel to become the faithful and victorious
King. Set in the rich context of Jesus' Jewish culture, this study will help us
understand who Jesus is and what his life and teachings mean for us today.
This is a 24 week DVD study by Jeff Cavins that will meet in the PLC on
Thursdays from 10-11:30
am beginning on September
17th and run until
spring. Cost is $30 for the study guide. Contact Cathy Oliver at 706-264-6966 or catherineoliver@optilink.us to register. Nursery will be
available in Madonna Hall on request.
5. Please join the Knights of Columbus #6099 for free Labor Day Family Picnic
on Monday, September 7th from 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at 7615 Old Lee
Highway. Food, games and lots of fun!
6. In conjunction with St. Jude and St.
Stephens we will be collecting used shoes of any kind and size at OLPH. "Soles
for Souls", collection
is in order to help those in need in 3rd world countries. The shoes will be sent to 3rd
world countries mended and given to those who are less fortunate. Please bring the used shoes in a bag to
school from Friday, August 28th through Thursday, September 3rd. Please drop the shoes in the box by the
cafeteria. This is a perfect way to
begin practicing our virtue of Faith.
7. Allergy Season is upon us. Late summer and
early fall are common times for lots of ragweed and allergy problems. Please watch your children for symptoms and
treat them as necessary. Sneezing and
coughing can spread lots of germs to others.

SPORTS NEWS

The Catholic Rams football team improved to
5-0 with a convincing 34-6 win over Tennessee Christian. The game kick-offed with a beautiful
rendition of the National Anthem sung by Isabella Gearinger. Charlie Menham and Fran Palacios scored
touchdowns. Jackson Brownhill did a
little bit of everything--pass receptions, interception, tackles and big
runs. The offensive and defensive lines
controlled the game for Catholic.
Maverick Tucker, Ben Bambrey, Dilon Farmer, Brendan Greene and Tucker
Berry were outstanding. Following the
game the team celebrated with an outdoor party.
Many thanks to Kelly Petrin, Jack Berry and the coaches for a great
evening of football and fellowship.

The Rams Volleyball Team recorded their first
victory of the season against Tennessee Christian. In convincing play they won 2 straight games
to take the match. Keep up the good
work.
