SCHOOL NEWS: Summer Camps, Grandparent's Day, Yearbook Orders, Art Show, Talent Show and Homework Help

·        OLPH Summer Camp fliers are available on the school website. Check out what exciting possibilities are available for your students this summer!
·       Grandparent's Day. If you would like to sign up to help with the festivities on May 1, or with preparations on the day before, you can sign up by going to http://vols.pt/WhyEGQ.
·       It is time to order your yearbook. Yearbooks can only be ordered online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.  Information will be going home with students this week.  The cost of the yearbook is $30.00 and the last day to order is May 29th.  You will now be able to customize your yearbook when ordering online.  All orders are done on-line through Lifetouch.
·       It's that time of year again to showcase OLPH art.  Bring your artwork created in 2014-2015 school year to Ms. Crumley's room by April 30th. Be sure to label with your name, grade and title of the artwork. The Art Show will be held on Friday, May 1st along with Grandparents Day and the book fair.  The OLPH community is invited to see artwork that is created all year long from Pre-K to the 8th grade.
·       The OLPH Talent Show is coming back on May 12, 2015. If you sing, dance, act or play an instrument, and want to share your talent with others, come and join us in the music room on Wednesday, May 6th right after school for try outs. (Please keep your act to no more than 2 minutes so that as many students as possible can participate.)
·       HOMEWORK HELP SCHEDULE FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKS
Week of April 27th - May 1st: Homework Help will resume its regular schedule (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
Week of May 4th - 8th: Homework Help will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday only
Week of May 11th - 15th: Homework Help will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday only

SCHOOL NEWS: Sugar and Spice Brunch, Summer Camps, Grandparent's Day, Yearbook Orders and CRS Rice Bowl
·        Sugar and Spice Brunch” will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Ladies of all ages gather to share food, faith, and fun while building virtue in our community! The event allows the Family Honor Program to be available each year in the Chattanooga Deanery. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support Ladies of Charity of Chattanooga and the re-opened Catholic Charities Pregnancy Center.  This event includes lovely decorated tables with a served brunch, speaker, door prizes, and more!  In the spirit of Pope Francis declaring 2015, The Year of Consecrated Life, Sr. Mary Dominic, O.P., Professor of Theology and English at Aquinas College will present on the theme: “Having Courage in the New Millennium!”  Tickets are $20.  To decorate a table, order tickets, or sponsor a table of 8: contact Mary Pat Haywood (706)-459-6391 hawyood@epbfi.com or Cathy Oliver (706)-264-6966 catherineoliver@optilink.us

OLPH Parish Life Center Please join us as we celebrate Spring and enjoy some social time together.  Home and School will provide hamburgers and hotdogs and paper goods. ·        We Went Over Our Goal!  Thank you to everyone who participated in Catholic Relief Services Operation Rice Bowl.  Through your donations the school raised $2,123.00.  Our original goal was $1,250.00. Thank you, The Eighth Grade Class!
