JUNE: The office will be open every Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
JULY 4 -- JULY 20: CLOSED
JULY 21: The office will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
JULY 26 (WEEK OF): The office will be open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
AUGUST 2 (WEEK OF): The office will be open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

SUMMER Acclerated Reader (AR) TESTING DATES:
Summer AR testing will be held on the following Wednesdays, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., in the school computer lab: June 23, June 30, July 14, July 21, and July 28. The last day for Summer AR testing is Registration Day, Thursday, August 5, from 7:30 A.M. to Noon. AR summer information is on our website, www.myolph.com, under the heading of "Summer Information."

We would like to welcome two new teachers to OLPH School. Mrs. Nicole Tinney is our new 6th grade homeroom and Language Arts teacher. She is a newly certified teacher, who has had training in middle school and is looking forward to her assignment here. Mrs. Tinney’s email address is ntinney@catholicweb.com Mrs. Katie Workman is our new 7th grade homeroom and Language Arts teacher. She comes to us from Hamilton County where she taught 8th grade writing, and she is very excited about her new placement. Grounds Beautification
The OLPH Home and School Association has formed a Grounds Keeping and Beautification Committee. If you are interested in working on this committee on a regular basis please contact Beth Tapley at 423-290-0766 or email bethtapley@ gmail.com.
All parishioners and their families are invited to help us keep our church and school grounds looking beautiful year round. There will be a Grounds Beautification Work Day on Saturday, June 26th from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Please meet in the back parking lot and bring shovels, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, gloves and any other gardening tools you like to use. We have mulch to spread, flowers to water and weeding to do. all ages are welcome.
In addition to the work day, weekly help is required to keep the landscaping looking nice. Weeding and watering needs to be done on a regular basis. A calendar of weekly sign up dates is posted in the church foyer. This is a great way to start your PIP hours for the 2010-2011 school year. Please donate any gently used uniforms to St. Cecilia's Closet. The Closet has been a blessing for our families, as well as our school. Donation receipts are available in the school office. Reminder--the Creative Arts Guild will be opening St. Cecilia's Closet for a back-to-school uniform sale. Enjoy your summer!
